My roots

My grandfather was an archaeologist who precisely drew all his flint findings, which he later published in books. After his passing, I rediscovered those books, fragile objects filled with precision, silence, and time. They took me back to my childhood, when I spent hours beside him, immersed in his archive, tracing the lines of his discoveries.

His reference work is a return both to prehistory and to my roots. This series of drawings is a quiet dialogue between generations, a way to translate memory, material, and gesture into something that is mine, yet deeply connected to him.
