From a distance, my drawings may appear entirely black. But as the viewer comes closer, the layers begin to reveal themselves, much like stepping into a dark room, where the eyes need time to adjust.
To me, memories are never permanent. They last only as long as we evoke or speak of them. Eventually, they fade—slowly, inevitably—into darkness. They come and go, shaped by how we choose to look at them.

My drawings go beyond representing what I see around me. They are attempts to capture the fragile process of remembering and forgetting—driven by a hope that not everything disappears into black.
I am living and working in a small town Ename, Belgium.
