Lost in memories

Lost in Memories is a serie of drawings based on sketches I made over the years in my sketchbook. I revisit and rework these collected drawings in my studio to bring myself back to the original moment, that one instant when I took the time to capture a specific feeling or image.

The final drawing therefore carries a double layer of meaning: the moment of the initial sketch and the moment of re-experiencing during the reworking. This creates a dialogue between past and present, between memory and creation, in the hope that the memory never fades.
